All Hallow's Tide Around The House!

We are decorating for Autumn at our home! I love this season the most... Decorating means that it will soon be time for hot drinks, homemade pies, late company, misty mornings, cinnamon in the air and falling leaves crunching beneath the feet.

Most of our family's Fall decorations were made by our children. Pumpkins, bats, fall leaves,
cats and all kinds of vintage looking things seem to be what prevails.

As a Lutheran I celebrate All Hallow's Eve in a unique way. In our home this is the time we celebrate the death of death!

Pumpkins and Gourds take center stage on the dinner table at night along with
cinnamon scented candle light. We also display seasonal children's books.
Cotton displayed in an old tin pitcher, a honey comb ghost, silky fall leaves and paper mache
jack-o-lanterns are all on display.

Yellow corn ceramics, yellow ware and a lovely embroidery sewn by my youngest daughter
displayed on an old farm cabinet that once belonged to my mother-in-law. See how I painted
Grandpa's Wooden Morels for the cupboard above.

Beautiful Fall Music and Views for Allhallowtide.

Don't forget the teal bucket or jack-o-lantern for kids with allergies!

A cemetery outside an Evangelical Lutheran church (Church of Sweden) in RökeSweden on the
feast of All Hallows. Flowers and lighted candles are placed by relatives on the graves
of their deceased loved ones. Will you light candles for your dearly departed this season?
